We finally made it all the way up to Cairns where the weather is absolutely georgous (around 28 degrees) considering its the middle of winter. We spent about a week here lazing around and enjoying the sunshine again before we head back south to the colder climates! We spent two days on Magnetic Island relaxing and recovering from our hectic travels over the last couple of weeks. Rainbow beach is one of two start points to get on to Fraser Island (the largest sand dune in the world). We stayed here a couple of nights, one night before we went on the island and one after. Our first day here we went to the beach and did some body boarding. We werent very good but it was a laugh trying! That night we met our group for going on to the island. We only had a night here but it was enough to see Noosa, it had a really nice beach and is quite an exclusive area of Queensland with massive houses and even bigger yachts and boats.
