Another week into our time in Sydney so we thought we would tell you what we have been up to. Going to do a weekly update whilst we are here just to keep you up to date with our chat. So far work is going well for Ross, he has managed to blag things so far and hasnt made any big mistakes yet! He has been playing around with a cherry picker to paint the cranes in the factory which can go up to 12 metres high. Even has to wear a harness and attach himself to the machine whilst he is up there. He has made some mates at work which seems to have more English, Irish and scottish in it than australians! He has even met an ex-thistle player who works out there now. Not only that but he had a barbeque for his lunch today put on by the company so it seems to be going well for him. Unfortunately Nina hasnt been so lucky in getting a job as there doesnt seem to be much work going at the moment in childcare. She had an interview today for a job as a sandwitch hand so hopefully she will have a job by the weekend. We've been trying to save some money this week but we still managed to go to Mardi Gras on Saturday night in the centre of Sydney. Half a million people were there for the gay and lesbian parade. Was definetely an interesting experience and one to go to if your ever here when its on. Another of Ross' friend from uni arrives in Sydney on Friday so we will be going out for that and there is St patricks day to look forward to next week. Any excuse for a drink eh!
