After leaving Naracoorte, we headed south to the big town in this area, Mt Gambier. The plan was to hire a car and drive along the great ocean road but a problem with our car rental company meant we had to leave the car and we got a bus to Melbourne instead. Not before we had to spend a night in the jail! No mum we didnt get arrested but the hostel for the town is the old jail complete with cells! Was an experience and not one for the clostraphobics! ...

We left Adelaide by bus and ended up in a small rural town called Naracoorte. The town was pretty small and there wasnt much in the place apart from a couple of pubs and a supermarket. However we had been promised jobs at a workers backpackers hostel so we got off the bus. The backpackers itself wasnt the best maintained but everyone was really friendly and we met some good friends during our time there. The work was out in the vineyards which are everywhere...

We flew south from Cairns to Adelaide in south australia with the intention of trying to find some jobs. We only stayed in Adelaide for a couple of days as we got lucky and found jobs in a small town 4 hours from Adelaide.
