We decided to go off from the usual traveller stops and went to a place called One Mile beach in Port Stephens. The place we sayed at was gorgeous and really quiet. The beach was 2 minutes walk from our campsite and it was deserted apart from some surfers. There were a few things for us to do here so we decided to stay for 5 days. On out first day we wnet Humpback whale watching just off the coast. We saw 7 of these huge creatures including 2, 15 metre whales that went under our boat! Their really impressive and were well worth going to see. We also went for walks into the national parks near by and Nina manged to convince me to go horse riding. Not really cut out for that but it was a good laugh. Both of us really enjoyed he place as it was much quieter than most of the places we have been to recently in Australia. Think we both wanted to buy the backpackers place we stayed at and run it ourselves.
