Now that the graduation was out of the way and everyone has recovered (somewhat) from jet lag it was time for some hard core tourtisting in York. Today we spent the morning in the York Minster. We walked through the whole thing, toured the museum in the basement, and climbed the tower that offered wonderful views of York.
After a picnic lunch in the Minster park we walked through the Yorkshire Museum which traced the history of Yorkshire from prehistoric times through the medieval times. The museum had some really cool artifacts from Roman and Viking York that I liked.
Before dinner Amy, Ellie, Luke, and I got cocktails with Sian at a fine cocktail bar. I tried Absinthe for the first time in my life. It was interesting…
We all had dinner at an excellent Indian restaurant near our flat.
Tomorrow: Castle Howard!

Darlene Love Castle Howard. I’m guessing you know the tv series Brideshead Revisited was filmed there in the ‘80s. Sounds like you are getting a great tour of York.
