Last day in La Jolla. Lazy morning as we all took our time getting ready. We left around noon and drove over to the Hotel Del Coronado. We walked around for a little while and then had lite lunch in Coronado. On the way to the airport we stopped for a couple of minutes at the USS Midway. Would have been cool to see if we had more time. We then dropped the car off and went to the airport.

This morning Luke and I booked surfing lessons. The weather was cool, the wetsuits kept us comfortably warm in the water. We booked an hour lesson with Addie from the Surf Diva surf shop not far from our place. We spent some time on the beach going over the basics and then went out into the surf. Similar morning to yesterday. Took our time getting going. Luke , Amy, and I worked out. Ellie read her book at the beach. After exercising, I grabbed a coffee and hung out at the beach watching all the surfers. The winds were up so it was a good day to surf. We finally got going after our leftovers lunch. Pretty uneventful night last night. We watched “Don’t Look Up” on Netflix and went to bed. Unfortunately, Manchester City had the early game (6:30 am in MPLS, 4:30am here) so I watched most of that (it was worth it as they won 2-1). This morning we all got our exercising in. Rob and Luke ran and Amy and Ellie walked along the beach. The beach is a block away so it was cool to check that out this morning. Luke ran over to where the sea lions hang out. That sounded cool so we all walked over there and spent a couple hours checking out the cool views, the various species of birds, the sea lions, and the tide pools.
