We arrived in Port Douglas on Monday after spending the weekend in Cape Tribulation. Cape Trib is in the rainforests north of Cairns and is a really remote wilderness, mainly just trees and beaches, nothing else except a few hostels really. We spent a couple of days there just going for walks and looking for wildlife, most unlike us!! We arrived in Mission on Monday and set up camp for the last time!! It really is a one horse town here, well one street anyway!! It is so quiet, but really nice, the only drawback is you can''t swim in the sea as there are too may jellyfish. We saw three washed up in only 10 mins on the beach!! We're having a nice time just relaxing before we hit the bright lights of Cairns on Thursday.

We came across to Magnetic Island yesterday, it's a little island (20k long) off the coast of Townsville. There is very little to do here other than watersports or walking as 70% of the island is National Park. It's a great place to relax though. We're staying in a hostel as we couldn't bring the van over and it's good to be in a proper bed for a couple of nights. We came on the Pacific Sunrise on Wednesday afternoon and every bit of it has been amazing. There are 17 guests on the boat and 4 crew, all are really nice and easy to get along with, which is pretty good as you can't get away from each other except to sleep!!! We arrived in Airlie Beach on Tuesday, it's a really nice little beach resort with no beach!! It's got a manmade one by the Lagoon but it's a real haven for sailing trips around the Whitsunday Islands.
