We arrived in Surfers on Friday and it was muc bigger than Byron Bay, a real town with loads of shops, restaurants etc, it's much more of an Aussie holiday spot really. After going there we realised that we'd been on the wrong time zone in Byron Bay, we were an hour behind everyone else the whole time, it's no wonder the shops and restaurants kept closing early!! Anyway The only drawback to Surfers was that the weather wasn't particularly great and on Saturday it rained for 12 hours. In a beach place with no sun it's not much fun, so apart from going to the movies and the night market we did little else. We decided to leave for Brisbane a day early to see if we could get better weather there. We arrived here Sunday after a slight drama with or van, we were driving down the main highway and suddenly the back door flipped open and all our stuff was trailing down the road!! Funny now but not so much then. After clearing that up we're having our van fixed today and so are in Brisbane for two nights. The campsite we're on is really nice, it has a pool and thankfully we've got sun. There are also free x boxes to play on so Rich is busy trying to beat Pete Sampras at Wimbledon.
