We arrived in Airlie Beach on Tuesday, it's a really nice little beach resort with no beach!! It's got a manmade one by the Lagoon but it's a real haven for sailing trips around the Whitsunday Islands. We've set up camp at a site called Whitsunday Adventurer and we're going to stay here for a week as it's so nice, it's like a mini holiday in our big holiday. The site has a mini golf course so I've been taking Rich on, I beat him the first round but I'm sure a rematch is beckoning. They also screen movies three nights a week which is pretty novel, we've not seen a TV for 3 weeks now so I'm sure we'll be seeing a couple of those. The van is still going pretty strong, no problems with this one and we're still enjoying being in it. Despite the great campsite the main reason we're here is to go on our sailing trip. We've booked a really nice boat and it looks amazing so I hope it lives up to our expectations as we're really looking forward to this part of our trip.
