We drove from Margaret River to Denmark today via various scenic highlights. We stopped off at Cape Leeuwin, the most southwesterly point of Australia, the point where the Indian and Southern oceans meet and another lighthouse for Howellsey's collection of pics of these things! Today we got picked up at 10.30 by John and Ross from Bush-tucker tours. After picking up several others we were at the first cellar door by 11.00! Evans and Tate were our first port of call where we tried 10 (yes, 10!) different wines including sparkling (White and pink) and an amazing port (which is no longer allowed to be called port!), which was nothing like the horrible stuff we're often made to down at the rugby club dinner! No dolphins - think I'm cursed! First they stood us up in the Bay of Islands and now Bunbury!! Still, we set off for Margaret River and soon were rewarded by patience after a stop off at Cape Naturaliste where we spotted whales off the coast. Completely amazing and really pleased we saw them. After a slow start and good breakout from a cafe round the corner from Duffy, we parted ways and we headed down the coast towards Bunbury. It was a sleepy little place and we wandered round, drank coffee, checked out a mini giant's causeay type thing on the beach, admired the lighthouse and saw a film in the tiny picture house. We are mainly here to see dolphins but as they generally tend to hang round in the morning we will try again tomorrow.

We drove back to Perth and on to Cottesloe beach to check out Duffy's new beachside apartment. We stopped en route at Yancep lagoon for Ian to have a dip in the Indian ocean, which is no where near as warm as it sounds! We got to cottesloe in good time for the Ireland vs Italy qualifier and some good fish and chips on the beach front.
