Morning: Well, we didn't even get on the bus to go out of Reykjavik last night as the trip to hunt the lights was cancelled. The weather was awful, pretty rainy and stormy! So we got up this morning and brought forward our blue lagoon trip an hour. We have seen some blue sky today so are wandering if the northern lights trip will go ahead tonight. Today is our day in Reykjavik before we head out to try and spot the northern lights this evening. We get picked up at 21.30 and won't get back until about 01.30. That will be a bit weird given the lack of alcohol involved! Today we have walked round the Tjornin city pond and have taken in some Viking stories at the Saga museum at the Oskjuhlid. Well, we have arrived in Reykjavik and have found a cafe bar that serves Gull, the local lager. We're about to have soup in a roll, soup being quite a popular snack in this part of the world. We're just going to find our feet this evening and decide on a plan of action for the next few days. It's looking like the weather is going to be pretty poor so we will have to make the most of activities that don't include sky gazing!!
