So last night's meal was amazing!! We had seafood chowder and Morton bay bug to start with, Ian says bug is more delicious than it sounds!! Then we had John Dory (me) with a caper butter meniuere with roast pumpkin and green beans and Asian marinated whole red snapper (Howellsey) which was possibly the biggest fish on a plate I've ever seen! To follow we shared a passion fruit tart with sorbet and ice cream. Amazing!! All of this came accompanied by a lovely setting with views of the bridge and opera house and fab service witch is always a bonus. Before we went for our meal we had a really chilled and interesting afternoon at the aquarium and austrailian wildlife centre. We saw all sorts of creatures including, dugongs, baby emus (cute!), koalas, sharks, crocodiles and fat tailed dunnarts (cute mice basically!). We headed back to the hotel to check out the view from the roof top pool (impressive but too cold for a dip!) and get ready for our night out! Today we took an extremely boring and delayed flight from Sydney to Perth to discover all the hire cars we're hired (who knew!) or were ridiculously expensive. All the backpacker hostels were also full! Hmmm! We spoke to a lovely old girl on the information desk who sorted us with a car to head slightly out of town to find a spot to put our heads down for the night! Eventually we found a hotel 5 mins from where we started! Good start for WA but at least we found a dodgy old pub for tea (I was the only woman in there!) and Samoa gave the Boks a scare!
