After the hoo ha of yesterday we discussed our schedule and decided on a shorter south west loop rather than the longer route up the coast. However we did want to check out the pinnacles so we headed off on a short trip up north for the day. It was a relaxing drive on long, extremely straight roads! We saw the pinnacles which are towers of limestone sticking out of the sand (see pic). Although geologists don't really know how they were formed, one of the theories...

So last night's meal was amazing!! We had seafood chowder and Morton bay bug to start with, Ian says bug is more delicious than it sounds!! Then we had John Dory (me) with a caper butter meniuere with roast pumpkin and green beans and Asian marinated whole red snapper (Howellsey) which was possibly the biggest fish on a plate I've ever seen!
