Another leisurely breakfast before packing all of our belongings and checking out, then off to Paddington Station - a leisurely five minute walk away. We boarded the Plymouth train, then changed at Reading for the train to Southampton Central. The trains are sooooo good!! Expensive but wonderful.

The Novotel at Southampton is just across the road from the station - very handy.

Our room however, is not lovely - it's quite hot and the airconditioning doesn't work, the glassware is actually plastic, there is only a doona on the bed, so it was either the doona or nothing - no sheet. The doona cover had a hole in it. Disappointing......
