We had the alarm set for very early this morning (5am) and we were out of the cottage by 5.55am!! It took 1 1/2 hours to drive to Oban (1/2 hour less than advised by the tourist lady) - so we had time to find parking and buy our tickets (24 pound) for the ferry to Craignure on the Isle of Mull. This morning we slept in. When we got up we started the peat fire to keep us cozy. Taking it easy today because we have a day up our sleeves (because we did Glasgow on the way through). Today we set off early and went to Pitlochry - we chose to do this because of the weather (gales and rain in the west). Being central makes planning easier. It was the warmest day we've had yet since we got the Cavalier - 12.5 degrees C!! We went through the Blair Atholl distillery - just us four and our guide (in a kilt!!). We decided to take it easy today. We set out at about 9.30am and went first to Barcaldine (10 miles north of Oban) where we went through a Sea-Life Centre - saw seals being fed, looked at sting-rays, anenomes and all sorts of fish close up. This morning we got up and were ready by the time the Little Chef opened at 7am. After we left our motel we drove into Penrith to buy petrol and postcards. I bought Shannon and Jess an Advent Calendar each. We didn't take long to get to Glasgow. We found the 2 street numbers where the Bapties used to live, but both of the original houses are gone!!
