Still here in sunny Mareeba. The snake in the last entry was caught and measured at 17 foot 6 inches (5.33 meters). When let go he didn't hang around.

Spent part of today riding in a cane harvester on the largest sugar cane farm here. Good to smell diesel and farm machinery again.

Weather is consistantly around 31 degrees daytime getting down to 17 at night. No rain since July. Most of the grey nomads have left so things are pretty quiet in town. We are planning to leave at the end of November for the trip home.
