Two days in Capella with friends. Yesterday we visited the Pioneer Vallage. This is a homestead moved in as well as all the outbuildings. There are huge sheds full of tractors and other stuff plus a lot still to be restored. Well worth the visit. Today Wingy took us to see Brownies saphire mine at Rubyvale. We actually dug and processed a couple of trailerloads and Denny has some stones to show. Unfortunately of no great value but Brownie showed us a yellow saph...

The best van park yet! Good sites and great hosts, Dave and Jodie. We called in to see a mate from home and decided to stay an extra day after staying the previous night in Injune. The weather is warming but the nights are still chilly. Roads have been OK after the floods but there are many stops for roadworks. We will be travelling to Charters Towers for a couple of days tomorrow and then on northwards.
