After 3 days travelling good to stop for 2 nights in one place. Got to Home Hill the first night and stopped at a free site in town next to railway station and found there are many trains using the line during the night.

Next night was at St Lawrence showgrounds. Great site a bit further from the rail line.

Last night at 1770 Campground with a site facing the inlet. Unfortunately this quality site costs $42 a night. After a day R & R we will move to Sunshine Coast for 2 nights and then on to Scarborough for 5 nights before hitting the road home.

Weather is a bit cooler than up north but the roads are one continuous construction zone. Quite often waiting 10 - 15 minutes at each set of lights. Roads should be good next year.

Called into Gladstone yesterday and the place is booming. Average rental for ordinary house $750 a week.
