Finally the Taylors have caught a fish! It was Pippy who caught it, from her first cast and from a hand line. Admittedly it wasn't quite big enough to keep but almost! While we were fishing we got talking to 2 local boys, Benjie showed them his spear and together the boys speared 2 good sized mud crabs which we cooked up and enjoyed. In the late afternoon we drove to Cossack which is a historical town. Tonight the moon and tide were in sync for the "staircase to the moon" which is when a full moon rises over the mud flat pools and looks like steps up to the moon. We took our chairs and drinks down to the beach to watch it and it was very peaceful.
We have all been savaged by sand flies and the itch is almost unbearable. I know they get better more quickly if you don't itch them but the kids and I can't help ourselves. Grrrrrrr.
