We are loving this trip! The driving doesn't feel like a chore at all - well at least not to us - every now and again we say to each other thank goodness the kids aren't with us yet. Because as much as we are loving the scenery, there really is nothing here. We are "beyond the black stump" now. Tonight we are staying at a blip on the map called McKinley. There is a basic camping ground at the back of the Walkabout Pub, which is where they filmed parts of Crocodile Dundee. There are nomads (grey ones) everywhere, always on for a chat, so Geoff is in his element.

We wizzed through Longreach today with a quick stop at the Qantas museum which was worth our while.
