This morning we went and had a look at the Kimberley Diamond shop and introduced the girls to pink diamonds! They were given a fake one but if it was real would be worth a million dollars - keep dreaming! After our flat tyre on the way into Waterloo Station last week, Geoff went into a panic about not having enough spares (we only had one spare and a puncture repair kit). So when we were at Waterloo Station he bought another land rover wheel on ebay and had his mum race around Sydney to pick it up (thanks Sue) and then deliver it to Stryker who freighted it up to Kununurra for us. That was last Friday and it arrived in Kununurra this morning (Monday) via TNT - not bad!!
We then drove down to Lake Argyle (about an hour from Kununurra) to do a cruise on the lake. Lake Argyle was created due to the damming of the Ord River and is now the largest body of fresh water in Australia. Our skipper/guide was excellent and made sure all the kids had a great time, he even let them have a turn of driving the boat. At sunset Geoff and Poey went for a swim. Benjie, Pippy and I declined as the water was freezing at 19 degrees and not to mention the freshwater crocodiles, there are 35,000 of them in the lake. The scenery on the drive in to the lake and also from the boat cruise was beautiful as you can see from our photos.
