Home at last. A lazy day, starting with a look at the aircraft carrier being decommissioned in Portsmouth harbour. We sailed very slowly in 4 knots of wind to Osborne Bay for the first lunch time stop of the whole trip. To celebrate Debs and I cajoled the remaining crew members to join us for a swim. At one point everybody was in the water and it occurred to me, what would happen if the anchor slipped? After swimming, Debs and I took the opportunity to scrub Javelin's bottom. She was already much cleaner than when we left, just proving that boats like to be sailed. A hot soup for lunch followed, cooked by Dr Crouton and short siesta. We had a cracking sail back to Southampton arriving just after 5pm. Tom Cuncliffe was at the Marina to welcome us home and we had champagne to celebrate the end of a successful trip. Total distance covered was 1,850 miles, no major mishaps and Javelin performed beautifully getting us safely and swiftly round Britain. The question is what next?

Tim Wick "The question is what next?", a lap of honour? Maybe take Javelin and your pool of very experienced crewmates to somewhere with a little less precipitation. Thanks for the opportunity of sailing with you all on this great adventure. May you all have great and happy ones in the future
