Prince William's chopper shows himself to Javelin! One of our trips would not be complete without a close encounter with a helicopter, however nothing beats one flown by HRH. We can confirm the crown is not on top of the helmet whilst flying. As we exited Holyhead and were preparing to cross the traffic separation zone, we spotted a helicopter and military ship practicing high lining to and from the boat. As they got closer and closer we realised this was our royal moment. Trevor patriotically waved his union jack pillow case but it was to no avail. A quick fly around Javelin and he was off with his mates for another practice.
I was of course disappointed Kate was not on board but there is only so much excitement I can take in one day. The wind is now north west so we have altered course to Douglas on the IOM. We plan to bore them in the yacht club there but I am sure they have heard it all before. We have just put a reef in headsail, the first for 2 days so things are looking up as we reach another tax haven.
