We´re on our way to Spain, but on the way we decided to stop at Pisa to see the Leaning Tower. Pisa, to my surprise, is actually a very nice city located in Tuscany. It´s about a 15 minute walk to the tower from the train station and our goal was to see the tower and get back on the train within two hours, which we fulfilled. Everybody´s seen a million pictures of the tower, so there wasn´t much left to imagination and it´s pretty much just what you would expect. Nevertheless, the tower truly is worth the visit, it leans a lot and it looks like it´s going to fall. Another pleasant surprise about Pisa is that the cathedral next to the tower and the baptristry are also very impressive. Also, the entire city is surrounded by a castle wall, which runs by the tower, and it makes it look much older. So Pisa was a short but sweet visit, and just as importantly, very cheap.
