This morning we hiked up to the top of Gunlom (formerly UDP falls, a.k.a. Waterfall Creek) which was made famous in the original Crocodile Dundee movie. Today was another great day with us all going on a helicopter ride over Nitmiluk National Park (a.k.a. Katherine Gorge). We flew over 8 of the 13 gorges in the 15min flight reaching speeds of almost 200kmph. Steve our pilot from Helispirit was great. With a maximum of 3 passengers on the Robinson R44, Matt, Zach and I went first and I got to sit in the front. After another fairly big drive and the boys still being good on the drives, I was very happy to stop at Bitter Springs for a swim. Only 48 hours ago it was too cold to swim where we were but after heading north a swim is very appealing. The water was tepid which was perfect with the warmer outside temperatures. Leaving Ayers Rock Resort we drove through to Alice Springs and after a week of temperatures hitting down to -1 we all loved sleeping in a hotel for a night of re-energising. We had a quick dip in the spa before Dad and Jodie looked after the boys so we could have a night off. We had a nice dinner at the hotel's Thai restaurant and came back to sleeping kids.
