Utah has some pretty mad scenery, Jim was in a constant state of excitement. If you are ever planning on making a sci fi movie this is the place, you feel like Scotty could beam you up at any moment. It's amazing how quickly the colours and shapes change to some other strange landscape.

When we got to Bryce canyon late in the afternoon we were pretty tired and hadn't showered because we had got up at the crack of dawn and headed off to catch the sunrise so I decided we would stay at Ruby's Inn (which is really a Best Western) so we could have nice long showers ....... that was my excuse anyway. It was lovely, Jim went out for sunset at Bryce canyon and then again in the morning while I just hung out enjoying having lots of room.
