Vipi. Mambo. Interesting 2 days. Taking the kids out, the hotel, and an awesome fist fight.
Hows it going? As I've mentioned, I was planning on taking 6 older lads to watch the football. I did. They were quite excited and enjoyed it. I didn't. Newcastle lost 3-0...=[
Took them for Pizza afterwards which they also enjoyed. Whole afternoon/evening cost me about 4000 shillings which works out at about 30 quid...not bad for taking 6 kids and one adult out.
Spent the night at Tumaini aswell. The kids were up until 8 and they are so cute in their PJ's...although some of the lads were obviously in girls PJs!!! I will upload pics sometime soon.
After they went to bed I sat and talked to the Mama's and night security. Gave night security my iPod to listen to for a couple of hours which they seemed to appreciate.
Left after breakfast in the morning and went to the house. On Thursday 13 people were in the house at some point
Stef, Nat, Clare, Kay, Fiona & Bungle have all left. Rach & Beccy spending weekend at Voyager. 3 new girls on safari. Chuck & Ed gone to Nairobi with the project.
So house is empty. So I went to Reef Hotel for the day with Emer (who I like) and the rest of House 3 (which I don't really know and/or like). Had a day in the pool which was fun. Played volleyball aswell. Got the usual volunteer discount too.
It's nice when you are spending 5 or 6 days at project and the rest of your time in and around Mombasa maybe in a pub or club still being harassed for being white, to just go to Nyali where its full of white people on holiday and jump in a pool.
On the way back these 2 guys behind us got in a fight which I stood to watch. One of them delivered an awesome headbutt which just laid the other guy out...he's probably dying right now or something...I should care more.
And on that light note I'll get myself off.
