I collected my laundry and then sat in the kitchen trying to read a Chilean paper and drinking cups of tea. I sat around and watched Captain Corelli's Mandolin. It was time for me to go to the bus terminal. I hopped on the metro and got there with plenty time to spare. I had a horrible chicken burger in the bus terminal and then sat near my bus stop and waited on it arriving. I got bored and phoned my parents to see how they were. However I lost track of time and when I finished it was time for my bus to depart but it wasn't there. I asked the guy at the office and he told me my stop was the next terminal. So I frantically rushed over to the other terminal and luckily my bus hadn't left yet. I got on and we drove to the terminal I had been in and sat there for 40 minutes. We drove out of Santiago through dusty valleys and and shrubland. We stopped at La Serena around 10ish and I had an empanada. We got back on the bus and the bus steward served us an evening meal of rice and chicken and a pot of manjar which is sweet milk. We watched the evening film, a James Bond film. I tried to get to sleep but it's really hard on a bus and so eventually around 3am I fell asleep. My neck is aching from the seating position.
