Jack & Margaret Hi Neil, Its been great reading your travel journal of all the interesting places you have visited & all the interesting people you have met up with and your photos have been great. We are going to miss your emails coming through with all your latest escapades. Now that you are home you'll be able to dry out, before starting into the work force, and I'm sure the thought of getting into a collar & tie, shoes & socks will be a shock for you after so many months in shorts & jandals. Neil Oi everyone! (Portuguese!) My trip is almost over..just 3 days left :( However having a great time here in Rio. I don´t have any spare time so I´m going to write up the last of my journal in Heathrow or somewhere when I have some time to burn between flights. I also have lots more photos to add! monty neilby, how are ya. been keeping up with the journals, incredible as ever dude. Can't believe you said you can't wait to work. Enjoy it! 28 days off a year is not quite the same!!! I won't start ranting about being a trainee. I find out on 7 July if I'm in London or Edinburgh next. I'm off to London/Aix en Provence/Chamonix for 2 weeks nxt week so we'll maybe get back around the same time...somehow think you'll have a few more stories to tell than me though! Neil Hey everyone! I´m now in Argentina! I´ve been travelling loads recently and haven´t had any time to upload photos or update my journal. However I will get round to it soon! Oh on the postcard front, I´m going to send them tomorrow as had been holding out for an inexpensive, secure pòstal service. Less than 3 weeks left but I´ve been told the weather is good back home so it better not change when I´m home! Just watched Argentina play Holland draped in the Argentina flag..hoping they make it to the final!

Neil Hi Katie, They didn´t try, if you think saying uno and por favor interspersed with English is an attempt at Spanish then you´re sadly mistaken. It only takes a few minutes to learn the basic phrases or even use a phrase book. I thought it was rude the way they shouted "how much" in English really loud at the poor little Bolivian woman. I think if you had witnessed them trying to check-in; you would agree with me. Thanks for reading my journal and I hope there were some tips etc that help you. Enjoy the rest of your trip! Katie Hello, I was reading your journal beacuse I´m in Bolivia at the moment and wondered what other people were upto. I was shocked by your comment about the english people. Why is it such a crime not to be fluent in Spanish? Atleast those people tried, there´s no need to mock them.

Ebba Hola! Fun to read about those stupid arsenal-guys! I was working during the game, but saw it afterwards. You can trust on Henrik Larsson! =) Sweden also won the world cup in Icehockey, and the Olympic games before, so now we're ready to beat in the world cup in summer aswell, yehhaa!! Neil Hi everyone! How time passes when you´re having fun! Yes I have only until July then my adventure is over...awww. Yeah I know, there is a part of me yearning for normality and can you believe it starting real work! Thanks for the message Jack and Margaret, I will be sending you a postcard from Bolivia...so it might arrive next year (their postal service is ultra-dodgy!) Well I left NZ at the right time by the sounds of things! God I should have written all this in an update but anyway, I shall check out the video Nick but to be honest if I don´t feature much I´ll probably give it a miss son..haha. Yeah so Bolivia beckons...much cheapness but the danger level to my personal safety level has just been cranked up! Adios amigoes!

Nickyboy www.freewebtown.com/nickeloi Just put some volcano videos online. Sadly you're not doing anything special on them, mostly me and the american dudes on there. Still you can appreciate the spectacularness of the volcano. There is a little clip of Bridget crashing on the snowy slide though :o)

Nickyboy Steal as many photos as you like, I'll steal some of yours too! Also, remember that the pics I've put on Photobox can be put onto all sorts of tacky things, so if you want, you can have a picture of Dan or the other Neil put onto a pink cushion for you to hug forever... P.s. I do have plenty of video to add to the website, but my computer here in New Zealand can't process it. Hopefully at my friend's house in Sydney I can get it sorted and you can copy our volcano expedition from me too. Sorry to hear about your sturdy girl. Mine's still safe, but she's a bit upset I didn't use her in New Zealand. I've promised her the blue mountains near Sydney, but she's still giving me the silent treatment...

Dad I felt I had been getting a too much of a slagging for my performance on the Inca Trail. However, now that I have seen the photographs I think it is probably deserved. I have aged at least 10 years. I think I look as though I need a holiday!

Jack & Margaret Hi Neil, Good to hear all about your travels, sounds really exciting in Chile & Peru, and you are also seeing lots of the country side, Thought I would update you with the news of Hahei. They have had 36hrs of torrential rain and the place has been flooded, there are 3 holiday homes about to collapes down the hill and the road has been washed away, we have been lucky to miss this in Auckland, although some area's have had some of the torrential rain, All sports have been cancelled today Saturday 29th April. Our grass has started to grow again and is looking quite green a change from the brown colour it was when you were with us, Jack will be getting the mower out of mothballs soon TTFN (Ta Ta for now)
