Neil's Round the World Trip!
I got up early today and sorted out my washing. I booked myself on the 100 pound 7 day trip around the south of Chile. I leave Santiago on Thursday morning and to be honest I'm glad. I'm fed up of Santiago but probably more just because I'm living in a noisy, dirty city. Although there are many nice attributes to living here.
I had tomato slices on toast again today and chatted to Natalie who is leaving today. I sat in Plaza Brasil and looked over my Spanish. I took my washing to La Lavanderia. I picked it up later, it was great all ironed and everything. I had potato mix and a cup of tea (hmm..jealous eh?).
The hostel is quite quiet now, there aren't so many people here. I'm glad tomorrow is my last lesson and I can hit the road. Also Chile is expensive compared to other countries and I'm now dipping into my overdraft; budget alarm bells!
My lesson was cancelled today for some reason, oh well I'll just have a power nap instead. I watched a bit of Chilean television and then went to bed. However I and everyone else in my dorm were woken up by an old Irish guy who's moved into our dorm. Aww..it was terrible he cleared his throat in the most grotesque way imaginable for nearly in a hour in the adjacent toilet and we heard it all. He then came in, cleared his throat a few times and then fell fast asleep snoring so loudly even my earplugs didn't work!! However at 5am something remarkable happened; the smell vanished! Mr Stinky was gone!
