Woke around 7.30am and thought it would take forever to pack up but we were all done by 930am and on the road. The kids found it hard saying goodbye to their new friends but settled down really quickly once we were on the move. Goolwa was only an hour's drive away and so we stopped off at Harvest on the Fleurieu at Mount Compass - a strawberry farm where you can eat as much as you pick! The strawberries were sensational. Arrived at Goolwa, which has a lovely feel - very friendly, pretty and quiet. We set up quite quickly and after lunch Katharine and I walked into town while the others had an afternoon rest! We walked down to the Murray River and had a look around an old paddleboat, the Oscar W. Then we watched the Cockle Train come into the station - usually a steam train but due to the fire ban was a locomotive!! The camp kitchen here has an oven so we made some anzacs once we got home for afternoon tea. Nick took the kids for a swim while I cleaned the van - no cloudy water here! We roasted veggies in the oven for dinner and had a quick walk before everyone had a much needed early night.

Wendy English Hi Mulligans - sounds and looks like you are having a great time. Finally caught up on your blog and am now trying to read it each night before bed. Can't believe you've been gone one month already! Not the same here without you all - Jorja's missing Annie. Travel safe - Wendy x
