We arrived in Oslo mid morning. It was cloudy and cool but it was not raining. Oslo is very walkable and the ship docked near the city, so we did our own walking tour, including the Parliament and the Royal Palace. Oslo is a beautiful city. Many things are closed on Sunday so it was relaxed and pleasant. We then went back to the ship for a little rest and lunch. After lunch the sun broke out and it got warm. We toured the huge Akershus Fortress and Castle which was right next to the ship. While we were there we saw a horse in a large building. We went over and talked with the rider who was training police horses. She was very pleasant and let Bonnie pet the horse - Bonnie was very happy. Tonight we are having dinner with Jeannie and Evelyn - sisters who are traveling together. We met them at the Cruise Critic brunch Jeannie had at her house in Sacramento in June.
