Nice is a wonderful, young and exciting city. We could stay here for many more days. The only negative is that you need water shoes to use the beach since it is so rocky. We did manage to get our feet wet today in the Med. We spent the morning on a Viking provided tour of the city, visiting panoramic overlooks, the Matisse Museum and Gardens and ending up with a walking tour of old town. After resting for a while we went out to get a lunch/dinner (linner). We ate a restaurant recommended by the tour guide and it was excellent. We chose a selection of 5 tapas (Spanish appetizers) which we could not finish. We walked for a while in the heat and then went back to rest. We waited for the sun to go down and again went for a walk on the Promenade. After an hour or so we decided we were tired and headed back to the hotel to play some cards.
