7th January 2011 This afternoon we went for a drive and saw a wind farm. Just seeing all the propellers in the distance as we were driving up was amazing. We got up close to one and it was HUGE and made a really creepy "whoosh whoosh" noise. We drove through Manawatu Gorge and stopped to go for a walk. It was so beautiful but very tiring! All the bushes made me feel like I was in jurassic park. I could just imagine a little frilly head dinosaur jumpin...

7th January 2011 Phew, am I glad to be off that plane! Aunty Tina picked me up from Auckland Airport where I gave her a very sweaty, smelly hug. Note to self - take a change of clothes when on a long haul flight! We had to keep the windows open for the whole drive down - whoops! On the drive, we stopped in a little town called Tirau where most of the shops are made of corrugated iron and shaped like animals. We went into a sheep and asked if there were toilets...
