Day 17; An early start to the day and a quick 18 km's into Mansilla where Tracey run the last 18 km's into Leon and Douglas walked while we took their packs and caught the bus, not a bad idea as mostly all industry area. Day 16; From Terradillos to El Burgo Ranero 30 km's with a strong head wind. Pugged into Camino play list Walked with bare feet Tracy. Meet two Aussie boys from Melbourne. 335 km's to go. Gael's camel pack which she brought in Corrion was a dud and leaked, so she left it on a park bench lol. We were the last three aloud into the municipal Alberque. Day 15; From Carrion to Terradillos 26 km's. After the nuns opened the door at 6am this morning we headed out of Carrion along a ancient roman road pretty much the whole way. Walked most of the way with Colleen Andrew and Douglas helped with making the km's go quicker. Not the prettiest walk we have done, but it does mean we are half way, very impressive. Got into town early so have managed a afternoon siesta very nice.

Day 14; 26 km today from Boadilla too Coarrion Lovely start to the morning by walking along side a irrigation canal. Had toast and coffee in a little village and then took the scenic path much nicer than the main high way and plenty of shade. It's like walking along a pilgrim highway. Arrived in Carrion just in time to say goodby to Simon and Cynthia they were catching the bus to Leon. Perfect timing . Spent a lovely afternoon in Carrion soaking feet in the river...

Day 13; 28 km's from Hontanas too Boadilla, what a lovely walk, the Meseta isn't as bad as every one states. Visited a original pilgrim hospital that had been restored and now is a albergue called the Ermita de San Nicolas, it featured in the movie "The Way". Met up with Carlos again, he was impressed with the 3 ladies using umbrellas, he was even considering getting one to keep the hot sun off him.
