About 14 degrees and calm seas this morning. After my post-breakfast mile I went to a lecture on DNA by Dr Yan Wong from Oxford. Who knew that most Europeans have wet ear wax and most Asians have dry, flaky wax?
A quick note about my blogs. If they seem disjointed, that's because I try to write them during the day and then finish off at night just before I post them. That explains the juxtaposition between tenses.
Disastrous BoS, men's loss widened from 1 to 16 points with only one more sea day before Valparaiso. Got through to 3rd round of deck quoits before losing. Weather much warmer in pm and lots of cormorants around the ship.
Lost the Individual Quiz. Black and white night tonight. The three guys all wore their white dinner jackets. In the evening we were quite close to land and we were still passing high snow capped mountains. Later we passed ipslands on the port side. The evening quiz was Motown and Soul. We thought we'd do well, but probably wouldn't win. We got another bottle of wine with 29/30! No Syndicate tonight as we're up early tomorrow. However, as soon as I got back to my cabin, the second Jimmy James show started in the theatre, two decks below. So not as early as I'd hope.
