Usual start to a sea day, breakfast and a mile round the Prom Deck, with Barbara and Rob today. Sat on the shady side of the ship with Barbara for an hour or so then I went to hear Nikki Chapman's talk on her early career in the music industry. She worked with Take That and the Spice Girls, who knew?

After lunch on deck 12 aft, which is so much nicer now they've banned the smokers it was BoS. The men are losing by a bigger margin than ever. Still a few more sea days until Valparaiso and the end of the sector, so fingers crossed.

Got into the second round of quoits and lost against Barbara and her partner. After she lost the next game, she, Mavis and I had a cup of tea on the Pinnacle Bar deck, then I lost the Individual Quiz. After a leisurely dinner, as there was no quiz in Champions, we all sat on the Promenade Deck, with Mavis (who is an ex GB captain and her dead husband was a BB captain) until 22:15 and we all went to the Syndicate Quiz, which we lost by 1 point. Montevideo tomorrow for an overnighter and the end of the first sector.
