Yesterday's sail away was held in Carmen's because of inclement weather. This continued through the night. Because my cabin faces the front of the ship, the rain kept hitting my window. It was quite choppy too.
It was nice enough to sit at one of the tables on the Promenade Deck, where we went through the rest of the itinerary trying to decide which trips to take. Most ports look like being HOHO buses or negotiating with local taxi drivers when we arrive.
I was turning on my laptop to back up my photo's and write up Rio for my webpage (which won't be uploaded until I'm back in UK) when I noticed that it was cracked by the hinge. I have no idea how it happened, but with the pc at home dying just before I came away, I'm not happy.
Second round of BoS and once again the ladies start in the winning position. If it's anything like last time, they'll lose by the end. Barbara is the ladies captain, after Scott effectively selected her. No deck quoits because of the rain, so I did my laundry. I know how to live!
Yet another formal night, that's the fifth in 16 days, but according to the information we were given prior to the cruise, there are only nineteen for the whole 105 days. Lost by one point in both the Individual and World quizzes. We didn't bother with the Syndicate tonight. We sat by the Pennant Bar on deck 12 instead, then I played the casino. Lost money on both the roulette table and the slots.
