Same same, but different day. Loaded up and hit the streets again. You could tell everone was starting to get revved up for the Songkran. It was starting to get busier on the streets, in bars, people in pick-ups and tuk tuks all at it.
I met a few English and Canadians and teamed up with them to give people a good soaking on the roadside. It's just a constant stream of traffic. 1, 2 and 3 people squeezed on bikes with pistols. I don't know how they stay on because when they go past a full bucket of water goes over them. People even hire tuk tuks for the day driving round with a big barrel in the footwell.
I arranged to meet up with the people I had met earlier in the day later that evening. I met up in a bar round the corner around 10pm. There were two girls from Manchester and Brighton, Camille and Rebecca. Two Canadians, Aiden and Colin. Ste from Newcastle and two girls from Sweden.
We had a couple and headed off to another bar down on the river what Aiden knew about with a boat on the river. So we sunk a few on the boat and then when it was throwing out time we left and tried to get 8 of on a tuk tuk but the driver wasn't having any of it!
The most i've heard of the most people on one tuk tuk was 16 so I don't know what he was fretting about and it should not have been an issue, its Asia! We had to settle for two tuk tuks instead and headed back to Aiden's swish as f*** hotel for more beers. A world away from what I have been stopping in. He had a guitar which made an appearance and to be fair he was really good. Probably about 2.30am before I headed home to bed.
