Got up around 11am, still a bit jaded. It was baking hot again! Went for some breakfast at the cafe at the top of the alley by my digs. My legs look like the have measles at the bottom, f***ing mozzys! Had the same as yesterday, can't beat it for a quid!
Thought i'd take a walk into the city centre for a mooch round, plus the fact I need an adaptor and a charging lead for my camera as the useless Heathrow b******s still have mine!
After copious amounts of walking round I started to head back, sort of towards the way home. I didn't really have a clue where I was. I just kept walking in that sort of direction thinking eventually i'll get back to where I recognised.
After about half an hour I saw the Starbuck coffee shop, reee-sult it's just a touch further on. At Starbucks I turned round to check for cars to cross the road, Green Cross Code and all that. I looked over and i'd walked straight past it, i'd done a full circle around and back to where I started!
Back at the guesthouse I had a look at some excusions I could do over the next week or so. I decided on the day trip up to Chiang Rai and the Golden Triangle. This is where Myanmar (Burma), Laos and Thailand all merge together where all the opium growing and stuff took place, it still does in Laos and Myanmar.
There are also a few hill tribes flexing up there as well which we will go and see. It might be either the long neck tribe with long necks near giraffe size or the big ear tribe, with ears like moshers at Burnley College with skateboards jumping off Burnley bandstand. The really sound thing is i'm getting up at 6.30am because the pick up is at 7-7.30am.
For tea I thought i'd try a Thai green curry, different is all I can say. Decided to go for a beer in a bar, haven't really met many English and other westerners yet, or farangs as they call us. Hopefully there will be a few on this trip tomorrow. Chilled out fore the rest of the evening watching TV ready for tomorrow.
