We made it to Boof and Nikki's in mid arvo having stopped off midway and camped the night at Warra rest area. We had a great night watching a storm travel around us which was awesome.
We dropped the van off at one of Boof's friends place and then went back to his place to catch up.
The next day was New Years Eve and Aunty Ninny had planned a surprise for the girls that night. We had brought a new dress for the girls and they just had to wear them!! We headed off to Mooloolaba where their was a concert and festival on the esplanade. The girls were very excited as they watched Yogi Bear, Sylvester the cat and Poh from Kung Fu Panda do their thing. Boo got up and had a dance while Meg sat and watched. We then went and got a pizza and had a quick drink in a pub then headed back to watch the kids fireworks. The Witlams followed which were fantastic. They finished up around 10pm and the girls were tired so we went back to Boof and Nik's for a night cap. Great night as we watched the fireworks from their balcony.
For the rest of our stay we chilled out by the pool, went the beach and made sandcastles and Boof took Boo boogy boarding while holding onto Meg in the waves, they loved it. The girls had a fantastic time with their Uncle Boof and Aunty Ninny doing craft and cooking with them. Nikki also treated me to a much needed facial while the boys took the girls for a ride, it was heaven!!
Four nights flew past so quickly and it was time to head off again. We had loved catching up with them, and the girls had a fabulous time too!!
Time to continue our journey down south, next stop Angie and Rod's at Mulgoa, just outside Sydney..
