We have had a fantastic day today with Boof and Nikki.
In the morning we took a drive up to Mooloolaba, cool little coastal town. Marty informs me on the way back from our drive that he thinks our clutch mightn't be working properly! So we call into a few places and make some phone calls to find that it is the clutch, it's stuffed and the cheapest to get fixed is going to be around $1500!!! Bit bumbed at first, but what can we do, need the car to be working and reliable. Am thinking that it is lucky happened here rather than up in the middle of Cape York or something...
Anyway, we arrived back to Buddina and had some lunch. Boof decided to go for a jog and take the girls for a ride on their bikes at the same time. Boo and Meg were so excited, Boof is the apple of their eyes!! About 20 mins later we here Boof outside saying to Meg "it's ok we'll get a bandaid"....Bloody Meg had looked to her side at Boo for a brief moment and then crashed into a tree!!! First time uncle Boof has the girls to himself and poor Meg gets battle wounds!!! We all gave Boof some stirring and then the girls decided they wanted to have a swim. We entrusted Boof once again to supervise the girls and all went well. Nikki headed out to do some errands while we all sat and watched the girls have a swim. Boo is living being in the pool do much, always under water bobbing up for air. Meg is getting confident, putting her head under water and doing her 'cannonball' jumps into the pool...
After an hour or so of the girls swimming in the pool we thought a nice walk along the beach with each other would be great. The girls had a ball playing with Boof, collecting shells and running up the beach. Was quite funny to watch Boof try teach boo to skim a rock on water. First Boof demonstrated, then handed boo a rock which she proceeded to fling as far out to the ocean as she could!!! No skim achieved..
After our walk along the beach, Boof and Nikki cooked us a beaut meal of thick eye fillet steak and steam veggies which everyone must have needed as we all inhaled what was on our plates!!! Plus it was so delicious....Also had a nice glass of red wine, l know l know, trying to mature and get a taste for it!!!
Anyhow, girls got bathed and tucked in for the night early, both b*****ed. Then the grown ups had a well deserved giggle and chill session together looking at Boof and Nikki's photos from Europe, they were amazing. Love the old churches and buildings....
Were all excited about tomorrow, going to head out for a family day at Aussie World. It's a place not far from Buddina full of rides and attractions. Expect next blog to be lengthy.....lol.
All in all loving seeing Boof and Nikki, their place is great and relaxing. Girls loving seeing their uncle Boofa and aunty Ninnie....Having a wonderful time so far...
