Stranraer
I was up at 5am to get ready for my ferry crossing.Hilda as usual even at that early hour had a full breakfast complete with tea of course ready for my send off. They were both up and escorted me to the ferry terminal. What an amazing stay in N. Ireland. It is so great to have family that is so warm and welcoming that you have not seen in a long time and only really seen once in your life!
The ferry crossing to Stranraer was amazing. The HSS ferry was like no other ferry I have experienced. With restaurants and bars in the center and a variety of different sorts of seating around the windows, it was a comfortable and fast ferry.Arriving in Stranraer, Scotland was a great sight with the hills and lighthouses rising up from the ocean.I made me remember arriving in the Carribean, just on a bigger scale and a lot greener.
From Stranraer I walked 15 steps to the train station and geared up for the long journey via three trains to Carlisle and then finally Carnforth, England to meet my new wheels!
