Carnforth

After a quick stop in Lancaster and back on another train I finally arrived in the small village of Carnforth.Jeff Watson the seller of the bike was great enough to pick me up from the station and give me a lift back to his home.

What a great guy.His wife and two children where a pleasure to meet and after meeting them I felt even more comfortable about my decision to purchase a bike and purchase it from them.Of course before we could start with the business at hand we had a cup of tea and chatted!

The bike is awesome.I can't actually believe I am riding a motorcycle around Europe.How crazy.

Just before I left Belfast, I did end up purchasing the right gear.New Helmet, Bike Jacket with hard elbows and shoulders and windproof/waterproof fabric, riding pants with hard knees and windproof/waterproof fabric, gloves and glove inserts, balaclava which is like a ski mask to keep my head warm and a pair of gortex boots to keep my feet dry!It takes me a while to get everything on, but safety is first and I am truly glad I did not skimp on this stuff.Well worth the investment, especially the helmet.

Thanks to everyone for their safety concerns and thoughts.I made sure I bought this stuff so hopefully I can make it back to SC safe and in one piece!
