We finally arrive at Auckland Airport not actually knowing what day of the week it is or time..... Since Vietnam we have been on 3 planes and jumped 2 time zones. We flew into Melbourne ( very nice airport by the way) and put our clocks hours ahead and then boarded our Air New Zealand plane for the 3 hour journey to Auckland and put the clocks forward again.(NZ airlines currently have our vote for best flight experience,not surprising really as it is Virgin owned, funky uniforms, a choice of wine and an All Blacks safety message!)Therefore no idea of hours lost or gained but we do know that we are 12 hours ahead (until the clocks go forward in a few days) of home. We do not pick up the camper van until tomorrow so we jump on the sky bus into town where our stopover hotel is. 45minutes later we are dropped outside the hotel, as standard the bags are dropped and we head off out. It is now 8pm.... We walk down to the dockside and then head towards the city's landmark, the lit up SkyTower. We decided to give the Sky Tower ledge walk and bungee jump a miss and bought our tickets to explore the structure. Little added bonus for $4 we get to venture back in the morning.... Current rate 1NZ$ = 45p. Lots of pics taken and glass walking (Louise not Sarah) and then after Asia there was only one thing for it.... A take out Dominoes Pizza......
