Today was about breaking the back of the journey to Wellington, we had the inter islander ferry to catch in 3 days. Once again we embarked on a wonderful drive and ended up staying on a freedom camp near Woodville on the Manuka Gorge by the river bed. After driving along the gorge twice as I kept missing the entrance and the next turn off was 10km each way after the gorge... Duh! A little loop walk of 20 mins turned into an hour as we lost our way finding little gems!!
