It doesn't look like the weather is going to let up at all today. However another day in the van we may just go a little stir crazy. We head into town find the local tavern and eat some tasty food washed down with the locally brewed beer.......more DVDs and a snuggly warm van!!!

The weather is pants, drizzle rain and cold. Research tells us we have a small window of clear weather 10am - 11am. Noted, so we are parked and start our walk to the glacier at 9:30am , it is a 1hour 30minutes round trip. En route the drizzle continues but as we reach the face ( well 250 metres away from it) the cloud lifts and we observe the wonder in front of us, grab some photos and wander back.
