Enough now we are outta here!! It looks like the weather will be dry in the morning so an early start sees us head out for the walk around lake Matherson followed by the walk to the Fox Glacier face. Lake Matherson is the most famous and most photographed lake in the world as it is a mirror lake ( see pics all to be revealed) it takes an hour return walk to the glacier face and today we get to 200 meters away. With the must dos done we then head off toward Haast/ Wanaka. We notice there is a Bruce Bay en route and it would be just wrong not to stop and get a pic of Bruce our van on the bay! With a beautiful blue sky and Rhianna, Diamonds in the Sky playing on the radio we pull up at Bruce bay. It seems that everyone that stops here writes on a rock and leaves it by the side of the road, we join in gone fun and to top off a lovely moment Louise spots 2 dolphins in the bay. We watch them explore and play before we head off still south exploring this wonderful coast road. Next stop the blue pools and puzzling world. We reach to southern most town of the west coast state highway, Haast and decide not to stay as we were making good time and would just crack on. We motor on down the Haast pass across the mountains passing the Thunder rain Waterfall and stop for a look at the famous blue pools. Just blue and beautiful. Tourist radio is a great feature as it tells you what's coming up and you find yourself stopping to explore! A couple of Kms more and we stop for the evening, we stop at at DOC ( Dept of Conservation site) and find our spot. And what a spot it is for £2 per person. Views and a beach you would pay a lot more for....... Does it get any better than this?
