A change in plans with road closures has altered our journey away from Lambert Centre, Mount Dare and Dalhousie Springs which although annoying is out of our hands. After shopping and sightseeing around Alice Springs, including a visit to the library and meeting some locals, we left a Town called Alice and headed towards Uluru. We set off for Alice Springs passing through the infamous Barrow Creek which was a bit creepy. We reached Alice Springs by early afternoon and did some sightseeing around the town centre before booking into a caravan park. Bit of a shop, cook up and washing before we head further south tomorrow. A family of German travellers asked if they could take a photograph of the boys sleeping in their swags, which amused us.

We then headed to Wycliffe Well where we walked straight into the XFiles. It is the 5th site in the world for having the most UFO sightings. We caught up with the Hulk, Elvis and the little green men at this themed caravan park. Even Hamish put in some time to earn his keep.

Hit the road and passed through Tenant Creek. Being Sunday everything was basically shut and locked up tight. Quick stop at a supermarket and we continued on to the Devils Marbles. It felt like ew had landed in Bedrock and would see Fred Flinstone run past. It was a very fine balancing act for many of the rocks. Although we had planned on staying here there were already a large number of grey nomads pulling in so we decided to keep moving.
