We are all getting very efficient with packing and setting up with our campers and swags. We were on the road by 8.45 am.
We stopped for morning tea in Winton. We had great pleasure in visiting an "emporium" which had just about anything you could ever want - haberdashery to gardening tools to fishing and hunting equipment to household and sporting goods. The owner was very keen to sell Steve a pair of workboots and would even get them in and send them to him. When Steve said he was after the suede type boots, the shopkeeper advised that they would be no good for grease or kangaroo blood.
We travelled to McKinlay where we visited the "Walkabout Creek Hotel" from the world famous Crocodile Dundee movies. Hamish joined us for a beer in the bar whilst the boys visited the head office of Never Never Safari Tours.
